All DDS Environmental staff members have been trained and certified in accordance with all Federal requirements for the specific type of work (OSHA, AHERA). Additionally, most staff members assigned to provide support to the FAA hold the necessary FAA certifications as well (i.e. Facility Instructor Training (FIT), EDDA etc.).

Field activities utilize the expertise of core staff including both full-time employees and subcontractors to provide necessary expertise on a project basis. This subcontracted support includes Professional Engineers (PE), Professional Geologists (PG), Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), Certified Safety Professionals (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (CHMM) and other E&S professionals.

Representative Projects:
Implementation of a Regional Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Safety training program in compliance with 40 CFR 112. Training has been conducted in 70 Federal Facilities in 14 states with a total population of over 600 employees trained. SPCC documentation has been developed for 60 Aboveground Fuel Storage Tanks (AST). The usual turnaround time for documentation is less than 30 days. Average cost- $3,500 per plan including PE Certification.
Evaluation/inspection of over 160 Federal Facilities for OSHA and Environmental compliance. Remedial efforts include the completion and automation of chemical inventories and implementation of the Permit Required Confined Space program.
Development and implementation of a control of Hazardous Energy LOCKOUT/TAGOUT program for over 1,500 facilities nationwide for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The system encompasses all forms of hazardous energy and has been automated via the OSHEWARE recordkeeping system for online management. All procedures are developed to be in full compliance with 29 CFR 1910.147.
